A woman, of the sort of pallid complexion so often referred to as 'fish belly' and speaking of days (and months and years and lifetimes) without sun, sits in a straight backed chair to the left of the door. Her pale blue pinprick-pupilled eyes blink frequently in the dim light, but she doesn't miss a thing and her fingers occasionally twitch for the sad lack of a quill.
